Jewellry
/ Silversmith
Silversmithing has been a passion and a hobby to exercise precision and patience. During one year I learned basic techniques of jewellry production in the atelier of Luciano Gaeta, in Brazil. The pieces produced were unique models, designed or handmade for different purposes.
Spots
Produced with sterling silver, the ring Spots was handmade in early 2005. With simple solid cuts, it was polished in the whole exterior except for the circles, which remained opaque as well as the interior. The high contrast of different polishes and shapes gives the impression of false diamonds. Spots was made from the principle that not much is needed for someone to shine, as simplicity is also a virtue and can have the same value.
Baudellaire
Sterling silver ring designed with organic geometric shapes, Baudelaire has a diamond with round brilliant cut and a star shape facet on top. On the side is a an extract of the poem L’Invitation au voyage, which names this jewel after Charles Baudelaire.
Labytinth
Labyrinth is a sterling silver pendant, made with a simple metal leaf and a string of brown leather. It was handmade with simple jewelry techniques, taking around 1 week to be completed. Measuring a little more than one inch square, the jewel has a unique geometric cut in a reference to a labyrinth.
