RTMR is a customized application made at Kahn & Associates for Schlumberger, the worldwide leading oilfield services provider. With innovative solutions and a state of the art technology, RTMR is a flexible and intuitive internal software.
The Company
Schlumberger Limited (SLB) is a well-known company in the oil industry for its technical innovations and the real-time services it provides to its customers. They employ over 105.000 people from more than 140 nationalities, maintaining a high-level organization throughout geographic boundaries.
This standard of efficiency and productivity demands reliable software for decision-making, which will respond according to the ever-changing needs of its customers. With 25 research and engineering facilities worldwide, Schlumberger places strong emphasis on developing innovative technology that adds value for our customers.
The Work
In this project, SLB worked in partnership with Kahn & Associates to create a multitask, cross-platform application that would facilitate the decision making of several layers of high-level management. The software would be entirely designed and programmed from scratch to fit the exact and specific purposes needed.
The Solution
After a broad research of their work process, we mapped all the people involved and their interactions with the system and with each other. Contact was held in a regular basis with the client to clear out every doubt about naming, procedures, etc. This intense collaboration had a very positive outcome, which reflected directly in the quality of work presented by K&A.
The interface had simple and efficient solutions for different areas of management. The quick and clear visualization of information was the highlighted feature, requested since the beginning of the project. RTMR design and most of its programming was completed in the end of 2010, and delivered with an extensive documentation book.
